The list of injured players for the Toronto Maple Leafs continues to grow, as forward Matthew Knies is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury after missing the team’s 3-2 victory in overtime on Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues.

Knies had skated in the first 19 games for the Leafs this year, and has five goals and ranks third on the team with 22 points.
He joins an ever-growing list of players dealing with injuries in Toronto, as TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston points out that the team will now be missing Knies, Auston Matthews, Nicolas Roy, Scott Laughton, Chris Tanev, Brandon Carlo and Anthony Stolarz.

He joins a list of injured teammates that includes Auston Matthews, Nicolas Roy, Scott Laughton, Chris Tanev, Brandon Carlo and Anthony Stolarz.
“Listen, I get it. We’re down a lot of guys,” head coach Craig Berube said on Monday regarding the bad injury luck the team has faced in November. “[Replacements] got to step up and next man-up mentality and go play.”
Toronto’s victory in overtime on William Nylander’s late goal snapped a five-game winless streak for the Maple Leafs - their longest since April of 2021.
