Michael Pezzetta is back with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The 6-foot-1 forward was recalled from the American Hockey League on Friday, the club announced.

Pezzetta, 27, made his debut with Toronto on Mar. 12 in a 6-4 win over the Anaheim Ducks. He was later assigned to the Toronto Marlies, the team’s AHL affiliate, following Saturday’s game against the Buffalo Sabres.

The Toronto native logged an average of 5:06 in his two appearances for the Maple Leafs this season, recording one shot to go along with nine penalty minutes.

In 38 appearances for the Marlies this year, Pezzetta has scored four goals and 10 points.

The former sixth round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 2016, Pezzetta has totaled 15 goals and 23 points for 38 points in 202 career NHL games.

He joined the Maple Leafs as a free agent this past offseason on a two-year, $1.625 million deal.

Toronto plays host to the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday, before heading out on the road Saturday for the second half of a back-to-back against the Ottawa Senators.
