Anthony Mantha has found a home two weeks into free agency.
The New Jersey Devils and Mantha have reached a two-year, $9.5 million deal with a cap hit of $4.75 million, it was announced Wednesday morning.
According to the team, Mantha will receive $5.4 million next season and $4.1 million the year after.
This marks New Jersey’s most notable off-season acquisition after trading goaltender Jacob Markstrom to the Florida Panthers and defenceman Simon Nemec to the Calgary Flames in deals earlier this summer.
Mantha, 31, had 33 goals and 64 points in 81 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins last season. He added an assist in six playoff games before the Penguins were eliminated in the first round.
The 6-foot-5 winger is coming off a one-year, $2.5 million contract.
Drafted 20th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 2013, Mantha has 179 goals and 367 points in 588 career games split between the Red Wings, Washington Capitals, Vegas Golden Knights, Calgary Flames and Penguins.
Mantha was limited to only 13 games in 2024-25 with the Flames after undergoing surgery on his ACL.
The Longueuil, Que., native represented Canada at the 2019 World Hockey Championship, taking home a silver medal.
