Newly acquired Edmonton Oilers goaltender Tristan Jarry exited Thursday’s win over the Boston Bruins with an apparent lower-body injury.
With just under four minutes left in the second period, the 30-year-old appeared to suffer the injury while pushing across from left to right in his crease.
Jarry stopped 12 of 13 shots before exiting. Calvin Pickard stopped all 12 shots he faced in relief.
“Not sure how serious it is. No updates,” Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch said after the 3-1 victory.
The netminder was only in his third start with Edmonton, stopping 58 out of 65 shots in his first two starts with the Oilers. He was acquired last week from the Pittsburgh Penguins as part of a trade that saw Stuart Skinner head the other way.
In 14 games with the Penguins this season, Jarry recorded a .909 save percentage and a 2.66 goals against average.
Pickard has a 3-4-2 record this season with a .857 save percentage and a 3.91 GAA.
The Oilers will face the Minnesota Wild on Saturday in the first of three games remaining before the holiday break.
