Edmonton Oilers goaltender Tristan Jarry will be out ‘a few weeks’, according to TSN’s Ryan Rishaug.

Jarry was placed on injured reserve on Friday after sustaining an injury on Thursday against the Boston Bruins.

The goaltender was acquired along with forward Sam Poulin from the Penguins in a move that sent goalie Stuart Skinner, defenceman Brett Kulak and a 2029 second-round pick to Pittsburgh.

Jarry, a two-time all-star, has won all three of his starts with Edmonton since the trade, though he has a 3.08 goals-against average and an .887 save percentage over that span.

Connor Ingram started on Sunday against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Ingram, who was called up from the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors, has posted a 4.04 goals-against average and .856 save percentage in 11 American Hockey League appearances.

Forward Trent Frederic was a healthy scratch for Sunday’s game. The 27-year-old has two goals and one assist in 36 games this season. He signed an eight-year, $30.8 million deal with the club that carries a cap hit of $3.85 million through the 2032-33 season.
