The Nashville Predators have signed pending restricted free agent forward Jack Drury to a five-year, $22.5 million contract that carries an annual cap hit of $4.5 million, per TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston.

Drury, 26, was acquired from the Colorado Avalanche on June 24, along with forward Chase Bradley and a draft pick in exchange for forwards Fedor Svechkov and Zachary L’Heureux.

He registered 10 goals and 27 points in 82 games with the Avalanche last season and added three goals and five points in 13 playoff games before his team was eliminated in the Western Conference Final.

The 5-foot-11 centre is coming off a two-year, $3.45 million contract that carried a cap hit of $1.725 million.

Drafted 42nd overall by the Hurricanes in 2018, Drury has 30 goals and 82 points in 268 career games split between the Hurricanes and Avalanche.

The New York native represented the United States at the 2021 World Hockey Championship, taking home a bronze medal. He also represented his country three times at the World Juniors, winning silver in 2019.
