Preds add Drury in four-player trade with Avs

Jack Drury is headed to the Music City.

TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun reports the Colorado Avalanche have dealt the impending restricted free-agent forward, Chase Bradley and a 2029 third-round pick to the Nashville Predators in exchange for forwards Fedor Svechkov and Zachary L’Heureux.

A native of New York City, last season was Drury’s first full year with the Avs. He appeared in all 82 games, scoring 10 goals and adding 17 assists. It was the 26-year-old Drury’s first 82-game campaign.

Originally taken with the 42nd overall pick of the 2018 NHL Draft, Drury has appeared in 268 games across five seasons with the Avs and Carolina Hurricanes. He has 30 goals and 52 assists for his career.

Bradley, 24, is also an RFA. The St. Louis native spent last season with the American Hockey League’s Colorado Eagles. He appeared in two games with the Avs in 2024-2025.

Svechkov, 23, was the 19th overall pick of the 2021 draft. He split last season between the Preds and the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals. The Tolyatti, Russia native had four goals and 13 assists in 70 NHL games. He is set to play out the first season of a two-year, $2.5 million deal.

L’Heureux, 23, is also about to head into the first season of a two-year deal with an average annual value of $875,000. The Montreal native appeared in 25 games for the Preds last season, notching four goals and an assist. The 27th overall selection of the 2021 draft has nine goals and 11 assists in 87 career games across two seasons.
