The Vegas Golden Knights have placed forward Mark Stone on the injured reserve list, according to Danny Webster of the Las Vegas Review Journal.

This comes as the Golden Knights acquired forward Nic Dowd from the Washington Capitals Thursday morning in exchange for goaltender Jesper Vikman, a 2027 third-round pick and a 2029 second-round pick.

Stone sustained an upper-body injury in Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins and did not play Tuesday against the Buffalo Sabres or last night in Detroit against the Red Wings. Head coach Bruce Cassidy initially described Stone’s injury as day-to-day.

The 33-year-old has 21 goals and 39 assists for 60 points in 43 games so far this season. He also had two goals and four points for Canada at Milano Cortina 2026, helping the team to a silver medal.

The Golden Knights enter play Thursday leading the Pacific Division with 72 points at 29-19-14.
