The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Stephen Halliday to a two-year contract extension.
The deal carries an average annual value of $1.075 million.

The 23-year-old made his NHL debut on Nov. 20 of last year and played 30 games for Ottawa this past season, tallying four goals and seven assists. He also played in 29 AHL games with the Belleville Senators, scoring two goals with 27 assists.
“Stephen has shown great growth in his game. He is committed to his craft and has a passion for the game,” said Senators general manager Steve Staios in a news release. “We’re pleased to have him signed and excited about what the future brings.”
A native of Ajax, Ont., Halliday was selected in the fourth round (No. 104 overall) in the 2022 NHL Draft by the Sens.
He was a key offensive piece for Belleville during the 2024-25 campaign, leading the team with 19 goals and 51 points in 71 games.
