Captain Brady Tkachuk was unable to attend the Ottawa Senators’ end-of-season media availabilities on Monday after he and his wife, Emma, welcomed their second child.

The Senators were swept by the Carolina Hurricanes in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, dropping Game 4 by a score of 4-2 on home ice on Saturday.
Tkachuk, 26, netted 22 goals and 37 assists over 60 games for the Senators in the regular season, his eighth in the nation’s capital. Tkachuk did not record a point over four playoff games this spring.
