The San Jose Sharks have signed goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic to a two-year, $6 million contract extension on Friday.
Nedeljkovic, 30, has a 11-9-2 record this season with a .902 save percentage and 2.83 goals-against average.
He was acquired by the Sharks in the off-season from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for a draft pick.
The 6-foot netminder is in the final season of a two-year, $5 million contract that carries a cap hit of $2.5 million and was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
Drafted 37th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2014, Nedeljkovic has an 85-69-29 record with a 2.97 GAA and .903 save percentage split between the Hurricanes, Detroit Red Wings, Penguins, and Sharks.
The Parma, Ohio, native represented the United States at the 2024 World Hockey Championship in a fifth-place finish.
