The trade market for Calgary Flames forward Blake Coleman is quiet for the moment, according to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun.
LeBrun adds that, while the market can change in a hurry, the 10 teams on Coleman’s approved trade list either don’t have enough cap room to absorb the final year of his $4.9 contract or are working on other trade targets.
Coleman 34, is in the final year of a six-year, $29.4 million deal he signed with the Flames in 2021. The veteran forward had 20 goals and 35 points in 69 games last season.
Over his 10-year NHL career with the Flames, Tampa Bay Lightning, and New Jersey Devils, Coleman has amassed 170 goals and 325 points.
On Tuesday, the Flames acquired defenceman Simon Nemec and winger Maxim Tsyplakov from the New Jersey Devils for conditional first-round draft picks in both 2027 and 2028, a second-round pick Saturday and prospect Etienne Morin.
