Tampa Bay Lightning netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy, New York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin, and Boston Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman were named the finalists for the 2026 Vezina Trophy on Wednesday.

The award is given annually to the league’s top goaltender during the regular season and is voted by the NHL’s general managers.

Vasilevskiy, 31, led all goaltenders with 39 wins this past season, helping the Lightning to their ninth straight playoff appearance.

His 2.31 goals-against average was good for second in the NHL while his .912 save percentage had him tied for third. He also only allowed two goals or fewer in 35 of his 58 games.

The 6-foot-4 goaltender previously won the award in 2019 after going 39-10-4 with a 2.40 GAA and .925 save percentage.

Sorokin, 30, had a 29-24-2 record with a 2.68 GAA and .906 save percentage as the Islanders finished seven points out of a playoff spot.

The 6-foot-3 netminder led the NHL with seven shutouts and led the league with 452 high-danger saves and had an .864 high-danger save percentage.

Sorokin would be the first Islander to win the award since the legendary Billy Smith in 1982.

Swayman, 27, went 31-18-4 in 2025-26 with a 2.71 GAA and .908 save percentage after struggling the season before.

The 6-foot-3 goalie ranked fifth in total saves this season, helping the Bruins claim the first wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.

Winnipeg Jets netminder Connor Hellebuyck won both the Vezina Trophy and Hart Trophy last season after going 47-12-3 with a 2.00 GAA and .925 save percentage. He was 23-23-11 with an .895 save percentage and 2.86 GAA this year.
