MILAN — Canada’s women’s hockey team looked to pick up a second straight win on Monday.
Canada will take on Czechia in its second preliminary round game after defeating Switzerland 4-0 on Saturday. The Canadians outshot the Swiss 55-6 and scored on three of their five power-play opportunities in the game.

Following Monday’s game, Canada get ready to face the archrival and world champion United States tomorrow.
“The most important is Czechia tonight,” Erin Ambrose said of Canada not looking ahead to the Americans. “Obviously a lot of people have tomorrow night circled on their calendars but we don’t get to tomorrow night without tonight. That’s probably a cliche answer but there’s a lot of hockey to be played before we get there.”
Canada will wrap up its ground round play on Thursday against Finland, in a game that was postponed from last week.
