The Vancouver Goldeneyes re-signed forwards Jenn Gardiner and Izzy Daniel to multi-year contracts on Wednesday.

Gardiner was signed to a three-year deal while Daniel signed a two-year extension.

The two players now join Sophie Jaques, Sarah Nurse, and Emerance Maschmeye as protected players as part of the league’s Expansion Player Distribution Process.

Gardiner, 24, was one of the first players signed by the Goldeneyes as part of their expansion process last season.

The Surrey, B.C., native registered nine goals and 19 points in 30 games in the team’s inaugural season.

Drafted 11th overall by the Montreal Victoire in 2024, Gardiner has 14 goals and 37 points in 60 games split between the Victoire and Goldeneyes.

Prior to joining the PWHL, Gardiner played five seasons in the NCAA with Ohio State University, registering 53 goals and 126 points and helped her team reach their first-ever national championship appearance.

Gardiner also represented Canada at the 2025 Women’s World Hockey Championship in a silver-medal finish.

Daniel, 25, was selected eighth overall by Vancouver in the 2025 PWHL Expansion Draft and registered seven goals and 10 points in 28 games with the Goldeneyes last season.

Drafted 18th overall by the Toronto Sceptres in 2024, Daniel has nine goals and 17 points in 58 career games.

Prior coming to the PWHL, Daniel played four seasons with Cornell University in the NCAA, registering 51 goals and 158 points. She won the Patty Kazmaier award as college hockey’s best women’s player in 2024 after registering 21 goals and 59 points in 34 games.

The Goldeyes finished in sixth place in the PWHL standings in their inaugural season last year with a 9-3-4-14 record.
