Canadian international Promise David is reportedly staying put with Union Saint-Gilloise in the Belgian top-flight, according to TSN’s Matthew Scianniti.
David, 24, had been linked to a move to the Premier League ahead of the January transfer window, but Scianitti states that “there is no indication” for a potential change of scenery from either David or the club.
Despite reports of interest from Premier League teams, there's no indication from Promise David's camp or Union Saint-Gilloise that the 24-year-old is moving from Beligium in January. In 20 club appearances this season, David has nine goals across all competitions @TSN_Sports

After helping the club to their first league title in 90 years last year, David inked a new deal with Union SG over the summer that will run through the 2029 season.
A native of Brampton, Ont., David began his international career with the Nigerian U23 national team in 2022 before joining Jesse Marsch and the Canadian men’s national team this past February.
The 6-foot-4 forward made his debut for Canada in a friendly against Ukraine during the 2025 Canadian Shield in June.
David has since been capped by Marsch eight times, scoring three goals. In a friendly against Venezuela on Nov. 18, he found the back of the net in the 83rd minute to seal a 2-0 victory for the Canadian men.
In the most edition recent of ‘Race for the Roster’, TSN’s Steven Caldwell has David slotted behind Tani Oluwaseyi for Canada’s second striker spot ahead of the FIFA World Cup on home soil next summer.
In 20 matches played for Union SG across all competitions this season, David has scored nine goals, including two in the Champions League.
