Congo defeated Jamaica 1-0 in an inter-confederation playoff final on Tuesday to earn their place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Axel Tuanzebe scored the extra-time winner in the 100th minute for Congo, his first international goal.
Congo heads to the FIFA World Cup for the first time since 1974 in West Germany.
They join African nations Morocco, Senegal, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Cape Verde and South Africa in the tournament field.
Congo will be in Group K where they will open the tournament against Portugal on June 17 at NRG Stadium, Houston before facing Colombia and Uzbekistan.
