Delaney Baie (D.B.) Pridham is sticking around in the nation’s capital.
Ottawa Rapid FC announced on Monday that the Northern Super League’s first Golden Boot winner and Player of the Year has signed a contract extension that runs through 2028.
The 28-year-old forward has eight goals and five assists in 13 matches this season after tallying 20 goals and three assists in the 2025 campaign.
Internationally, she has seven appearances with Team Canada and according to Shireen Ahmed of CBC, is expected to be on the roster in the fall when Canada attempts to qualify for next year’s Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
“D.B. has been an exceptional player and representative of Ottawa Rapid FC from the moment she arrived,” said Ottawa Rapid FC CEO Thomas Gilbert in a news release.
“Her ability to deliver in big moments, and the standard she sets, have made her central to what we’re building, both here and across the NSL. The NSL aims to be one of the best leagues in the world, and that takes world-calibre talent. We believe D.B. is exactly that, and we’re thrilled she’s chosen to continue her career with us in Ottawa.”
Pridham is equally excited to be staying put.
“Ottawa has become a very special place for me, both professionally and personally,” she said in the same release.
”I am incredibly proud of what we’ve started building here and grateful for the trust the club, my teammates and our supporters have shown in me. I’m excited to keep pushing myself, growing alongside this group and doing everything I can to help bring success to this city and our team. I’m proud to call Ottawa home and can’t wait for what’s ahead.”
Pridham joined the Rapid following a professional career in Europe that included time with ÍBV Iceland, as well as Kristianstads DFF and Linköpings FC in Sweden.
Pridham played collegiately at Santa Clara University in California.
