Christian Pulisic helped Diego Moreira score twice in three minutes as AC Milan came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Lazio, who dropped points in Serie A for the first time this season.
The hosts were well on top in the first half and led through goals from Matteo Cancellieri and Tijjani Noslin.
But a triple substitution from Ruben Amorim at the break paid dividends as Milan were much improved in the second half and Moreira dragged them level with goals in the 65th and 67th minutes.
Early pressure from Lazio paid off in the 10th minute when Nuno Tavares fed Mattia Zaccagni down the left and he sent in a low ball, with Cancellieri nipping in front of Pervis Estupiñán to turn in.
Zaccagni should have doubled the lead in the 21st minute when played in by Davide Frattesi, but Mike Maignan stood up well to deny him inside the box.
A second goal felt inevitable and came six minutes before the break. Kenneth Taylor sent in a low cross from the left and, although Noslin's first effort was blocked, Koni De Winter's attempted clearance struck the Lazio forward and went over the line.
Amorim had seen enough and the introduction of Moreira, Pulisic and Yunus Musah at the break changed the game.
After Pulisic tested Christos Mandas with a powerful strike on the hour, Milan quickly levelled.
The first goal came in the 65th minute when Moreira met Pulisic's cross with a left-footed volley from a tight angle.
And two minutes later, Moreira fizzed in a low strike from the edge of the box.
