Aleksandr Guboglo is heading to Ligue 2.
The Athletic’s Tom Bogert reports the Canada U20 wingback is nearing a move to Reims on loan from CF Montreal.
The deal comes with a purchase option.
Guboglo, 19, is a product of the CFMTL academy. The Ottawa native made his senior debut in March of 2025. He’s made 29 senior appearances for the team across all competitions, including one this season in MLS.
Internationally, Guboglo currently represents the CanMNT’s U20 side after having previously featured for the U18s.
Reims finished sixth in Ligue 2 last season
