Toronto FC is making an addition on the flanks.
The Athletic’s Tom Bogert reports the team is finalizing a loan deal for winger Alejandro Piedrahita from CSKA Sofia.
The 24-year-old Colombian will join the Reds until next summer.
A native of Cartago, Piedrahita is in his second season with the Bulgarian club. He appeared in 16 league games last season, scoring twice. Piedrahita won the Bulgarian Cup with the side.
Piedrahita made his professional debut in 2020 with Deportivo Pereira and also had loan spells with Argentine sides Banfield and Gimnasia.
The Reds currently sit 10th in the East on 25 points, level on points with Orlando City for the final playoff spot. They’re next in action on Saturday when they welcome Robert Lewandowski and the Chicago Fire at BMO Field.
