Kosi Thompson is on the move.

The Athletic’s Tom Bogert reports Toronto FC has dealt the hometown midfielder to the Colorado Rapids in exchange for up to $400,000 in General Allocation Money.

Thompson, 23, is a graduate of the TFC academy and in his fifth senior season. He’s appeared in two of the club’s five Major League Soccer matches in 2026. Thompson has played a total of 135 minutes.

Having made his senior debut in March of 2022, Thompson has gone on to appear in 97 league matches for TFC and 113 across all competitions. He has two MLS goals.

Through five games, the Rapids sit seventh in the Western Conference on nine points. They return to action after the international break on Apr. 4, coincidentally at Toronto.
