Leny Yoro is headed to his first senior France camp.
The Manchester United centre-back has been called into the squad as a replacement for Ibrahima Konaté. The former Liverpool defender has returned to Real Madrid for treatment for a minor knee injury.
A 20-year-old native of Paris, Yoro has previously represented Les Bleus at various youth levels. Yoro was a member of the France team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Yoro is in his third season with United following a £52.2 million move from Lille. He’s made 70 appearances across all competitions, including four this season.
Fourth-place finishers at this summer’s World Cup, France plays four times during the current international window in Nations League action. The matches will be the first under new manager Zinedine Zidane. Les Bleus face Turkiye on Friday before a trip to Belgium on Monday. They then return home for a date with Italy on Oct. 2 and a return engagement against Belgium on Oct. 5.
