Report: Lewandowski to join MLS’ Chicago Fire

Published:

It appears that Robert Lewandowski is headed to MLS.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Polish soccer legend will sign with the Chicago Fire. Romano reports Lewandowski visited the club and city two weeks ago. He will officially sign early this week, Romano reports.

ESPN’s Lizzy Becherano reports the move will take effect after his contract with Barcelona expires at the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

The 37-year-old has 14 goals in 31 LaLiga appearances so far this season.

He’s spent the past four seasons with the Spanish side after playing the majority of his career in Germany with Bayern Munich and Dortmund before that.

Lewandowski also scored twice for Poland at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar as his team reached the Round of 16.
