World Series Game 7 betting odds and storylines - Can Yesavage win MVP?

The Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers are tied 3-3 with Game 7 of the World Series taking place Saturday night.

With things level after six games, the Dodgers have returned to their role as the favourite.

Max Scherzer is in line to start for the Blue Jays. The 41-year-old threw 4.1 innings in Game 3 against the Dodgers, striking out three while also giving up five hits and three runs.

Scherzer’s total for strikeouts sits at 2.5 on FanDuel with the over -178, while his total for outs recorded sits at 9.5 with the over +134.

With nearly every pitcher available to pitch in Game 7, Blue Jays rookie Trey Yesavage could be a factor Saturday night.

If the 22-year-old enters the game in a high-leverage spot and helps Toronto win Game 7, he could be in consideration for the award after a historic Game 5 start.

Dodgers Turning to Ohtani

As for the Dodgers, Tyler Glasnow was projected to start Game 7, but he was called on in the ninth inning to pick up the save in Game 6.

Los Angeles will now turn to Shohei Ohtani as the starter for Game 7. Ohtani returns to the mound just four days after starting Game 4.

Using the two-way superstar as the starting pitcher guarantees the Dodgers that he will pitch and hit in the game as the DH.

Ohtani enters Game 7 on a shortlist of players priced under 10-1 to win MVP at -105.

The 31-year-old has seven hits and five runs batted in this series, on the mound in Game 4, he logged six innings while allowing four runs and six hits.

Behind Ohtani in MVP odds is Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+140), the 26-year-old has at least one hit in every game this series, two home runs and three runs batted in.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto (+600) is the only other player listed shorter than 30-1 in the market.
