It’s been 493 days since Frank Ilett last cut his hair, but that will change if Manchester United beats West Ham on Tuesday.

Ilett, also known as The United Strand, took to social media on Oct. 6, 2024, saying that he would not cut his hair again until Man United won five times in a row.

Man United would draw later that afternoon, beginning a wait of over 490 days for the opportunity to cut his hair.

“I never expected the challenge to go on for as long as it has,” he told FourFourTwo. “And, yeah, definitely didn’t expect it to take off as much as it has, either.”

Since starting this challenge, Ilett has added over 1.2 million followers on social media as a result of his haircut challenge, raisingmore than $11,095.20 for charity in the process.

Now, for the first time in 493 days, Man United enters thier Tuesday afternoon’s game against West Ham having won four-straight.
