For a minute Tuesdsay night LeBron James was set to become a member of the Miami Heat. Well, at least that’s what a YouTube video posted to the team’s offical account indicated.
The Miami Heat posted a link to a scheduled live stream titled “LeBron James Introductory Press Conference” followed by the date July 27 to its YouTube channel in what a team spokesperson said was a mistake.
While the video has been taken down and the team has acknowledged it was posted by a mistake, it was enough of a scene to cause movement in the betting odds.
The Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers were the favoruites in this market yesterday sitting at +150. Now, Miami has opened up a gap and are priced at -125 to land James with the Cavs lagging behind at +250.
On FanDuel, the Heat and Cavs are just two of four teams to be priced under 60-1 to sign James.
The Minnesota Timberwolves sit at 60-1 while the rest of the league is 100-1.
Here is a look at the full market on FanDuel.
