Morning Coffee: FanDuel rolls out a long list of Novelty Props for Super Bowl 60

Call it in the air.

Heads I win, tails you lose.

We’re only four weeks into 2026, and I’ve already had a change of heart when it comes to my favourite month.

Our friends at FanDuel decided to call it FANUARY.

It’s still the only month in the calendar when cold coffee isn’t an option, except they replaced the J with an F.

It has a nice ring to it.

I’m not the superstitious type, but if calling it Fanuary is the cheat code that unlocks giving out more best bet winners than losers for the College Football Playoff, NFL Wild Card Round, Divisional Round, and on Championship Sunday, then let’s make the name change permanent.

Whatever it takes to stay red hot in these freezing cold winter temperatures.

Speaking of the winter weather, the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots won’t have to worry about freezing temperatures as they head to Santa Clara, California for Super Bowl 60 on Sunday February 8th.

One of Drake Maye or Sam Darnold will officially become the 14th quarterback to win a Super Bowl in the same season they registered their first career playoff win.

The QBs are also the top choices to win Super Bowl MVP.

Another Super Bowl Sunday means millions of football fans, from the casual to the hardcore, will get together to watch the game, eat more than they should, share a few laughs, and place a wager or two.

While FanDuel has a seemingly infinite number of player props available, it’s the novelty props that make the Super Bowl the biggest annual sports betting event.

Let’s dive into some of those novelty props that you can find at FanDuel for Super Bowl 60 in this Morning Coffee column for Thursday January 29th, 2026.

FanDuel Rolls Out A Long List Of Novelty Props For Super Bowl 60

If you can find a Super Bowl 60 party with a food menu longer than the list of novelty props available at FanDuel, then you know you’ll be guaranteed a good time.

FanDuel has set the over/under for the total number of Canadian viewers at 19.5 million.

Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Charlie Puth’s rendition of the US National Anthem has an over/under set at 119.5 seconds.

Darnold is the favourite to be the first quarterback shown during the official TSN broadcast during the anthem.

Mike Vrabel is the favourite to be the first coach shown during the anthem.

Will a player or a coach cry during this year’s anthem?

FanDuel has the “YES” option at -230, which translates to a 69.7 per cent implied probability we see tears.

For the most part, football bettors only care about the weather for its potential impact on the game results.

It’s a different story for Super Bowl 60.

The temperature to be between 16 and 20 degrees Celsius at kick-off is -125 at FanDuel.

11 to 15 degrees Celsius is +300.

21 to 25 degrees Celsius is +380.

It will be a much different atmosphere than we saw in this year’s AFC Championship game.

Before Super Bowl 60 kicks off, the team captains will meet at midfield for the traditional pre-game coin toss.

There’s a 50/50 chance we’ll see heads or tails for every coin toss, and that split has played out nearly right down the middle over the first 59 Super Bowls, with tails coming up 31 times versus heads on 28 occasions.

Meanwhile, winning the coin toss hasn’t exactly been a good omen in recent years.

In fact, the coin toss winner lost eight straight Super Bowls from 2015 to 2022, and nine of the last 11 overall.

Since 2014, the Kansas City Chiefs are the only team that has won the Super Bowl coin toss and the game, although last year they won the toss and then got blown out by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Despite it being a 50/50 proposition, everybody I’ve talked to has a side they lean on for the coin toss.

I asked the Broken Table crew, and they were nearly unanimous with their responses.

Tekeyah Singh, Davis Sanchez, and Chris Hein all went with tails.

Aaron Korolnek called heads.

What would you call?

If you were a team captain for Super Bowl 60, would it be tails never fails or heads all the way?

Per the FanDuel traders, the split is nearly even so far with 51 per cent of the bets on the Super Bowl coin toss on heads and 49 per cent of the bets on tails.

Meanwhile, Orange is a +230 favourite to be the colour of the Gatorade dumped on the winning head coach.

Yellow/Lime or Green is a close second choice at +250.

Water/Clear and Red/Pink are the biggest longshots with both available at +1100.

FanDuel also has a market for the position of player(s) who pours the Gatorade on the winning head coach.

Defensive player(s) is the favourite at -110, which would make a lot of sense if the offence of the winning team was on the field to take a knee at the end of the game.

With Bad Bunny set to headline the Super Bowl 60 halftime show, FanDuel has novelty markets for the first song performed, last song performed, and the total number of songs performed.

They also have a market for whether Bad Bunny will perform an unreleased song, as well as odds for several other artists to make a special guest appearance, with Cardi B as the favourite at -250.

What’s your favourite novelty prop for Super Bowl 60?

Are you going with heads or tails for the Flip of Destiny?

The Super Bowl is more than just a game, it’s a spectacle.

Hopefully, we’re destined to make this year’s finale just a little more memorable with a winning wager or two for Super Bowl 60.
