The 113th Grey Cup takes place at McMahon Stadium in Calgary this November and we still need someone to headline the halftime show.
Let’s take a dive into the odds on FanDuel and see who they have circled as the leading contenders, before checking in with Drew Morrison for two longshtos he has clicked.
American country music singer-songerwriter Brad Paisley has the best odds on FanDuel to be the headliner at +250 with the band Nickelback not far behind at +380.
Paisley’s Truck Still Works tour across North America wraps up in mid October while Nickelback has no shows listed. According to Setlist.fm, Nickelback have done 26 shows in Calgary, the fourth highest total for the band in any city in the world.
The Beaches and Shania Twain each sit at +500 with Josh Ross (+600) rounding out the top five.
Also listed in the market is Luke Bryan (+750), The Reklaws (+1000) and Tate McRae at a 33-1 longshot.

McRae, a Calgary native, has been on a metoric rise to stardom since realising her 2023 THINK LATER album and is set to headline Lollapalooza 2026 in early August.
Last week her stardom reached even higher international levels when she presented the game ball before Spain beat Belgium in the Round of 16 at SoFi Stadium.
After doing an ad for Team USA at the Olympics, doesn’t this seem like the perfect opportunity for her to show everyone how ‘Canada Down’ she is, and she’s already done a “halftime” show for an NHL All-Star event, let’s show the CFL some love!
With his thoughts on the halftime show, here is TSN Betting’s Drew Morrison.
TWO LONGSHOTS TO PONDER FOR THE 113TH GREY CUP HALFTIME SHOW
Justin Bieber will be co-headlining the an upcoming halftime show in New Jersey. Could it be an audition for this year’s Grey Cup halftime show in Calgary? Fanduel has him at the bottom of the list at +3500. Perhaps that’s because his recent performances have been in his underwear. The haut-couture ensemble, accompanied by socks, has an undeniable presence, but it might not allow him to perform as well outdoors at McMahon Stadium in November.
Since the Grey Cup halftime show became a thing in the early nineties, only one name has done it twice. Shania Twain rocked the stage in 2002 and 2017 and Lady Timmins is +500, tied as the 3rd choice, to complete the hat-trick. Twain is one of four betting options that has been given the gig before. Bieber did the 100th Grey Cup halftime show in Toronto (along with Carly Rae Jepson and Gordon Lightfoot.) Nickelback did it in 2011 and is the second choice this year. Blue Rodeo was in Calgary for the 2009 hafltime show. Will Jim Cuddy join Shania as the only acts to do an encore at +2200?
There are two names that have never done it that make sense on the marquee, both with enticing odds. Avril Lavigne is +3000 and completed a greatest hits tour last year. And of course, Calgary native Tate McRae at +3300. The burgeoning pop star seems like the perfect choice.
Who is your pick to headline the 2026 Grey Cup halftime show?
