USA heavy favourites to extend Presidents Cup winning streak

The 2026 Presidents Cup tees off this week at Medinah Country Club with Team USA looking to continue its dominance.

Team USA enters as a -400 favourite to improve on its 13-1-1 record at the event, carrying an 11-event winning streak dating back to 2000.

“It’s the elephant in the room you have to address,” U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker said. “Just because these last teams have been successful doesn’t mean we’re going to be successful. We have to reset the bar for our team, tell them we have a standard to play to and we’re 0-0. These 12 guys have accomplished nothing. We’re going to hammer that into them.”

Team USA’s -400 odds come with an implied win probability of 80 per cent.

The International team, captained by Geoff Ogilvy, is a +430 underdog on FanDuel to pull off the upset, while a tie sits at +1500.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler has the shortest odds at +470 to be the top combined scorer in the event. Sam Burns (+850) is the only other player with odds shorter than 10-1, and the top six players listed in the market are American.

Adam Scott, Si Woo Kim and Hideki Matsuyama are the only International team members shorter than 20-1, with all three priced at +1600.

Young American Jackson Koivun (+2700) was playing college golf just three months ago, but now he is representing Team USA at the Presidents Cup.

Koivun and Jacob Bridgeman (+3300) are the lone Americans priced longer than 20-1 in the market.
