A third of the CFL season is nearly complete as Week 7 north of the border has arrived.
There are four games in three days on tap this week on TSN, starting with the BC Lions travelling to take on the Edmonton Elks on Friday.
Saturday then brings a doubleheader, with the second half of a home-and-home between the Montreal Alouettes and Calgary Stampeders starting the day, before the first edition of the QEW rivalry in 2026 between the Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats takes place.
The week then wraps up on Sunday as the Ottawa Redblacks, still in search of their first win, play host to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Lions vs. Elks
For the second time this season, the Lions and Elks will square off.

Two weeks ago, the teams battled in the “Apple Bowl” in Kelowna, where BC claimed its only win of the season, handing Edmonton its only loss on the year so far. In that one, the Lions’ league-leading run defence won out against the Elks’ CFL-best rushing attack, as star back Justin Rankin was held to only seven carries and 19 yards.
It was BC’s James Butler running wild instead, putting up 135 yards and two touchdowns in what was his best game of 2026. The Lions’ win was also thanks to the team forcing three turnovers, which happened to be the first turnovers they forced all season.
The Elks are the CFL’s turnover kings, with a physical defence that has taken the ball away 16 times so far this season – including a pair of picks from Nathan Rourke in the first matchup between these teams.
The run game and turnover battle will be the keys in this one once again. Can Rankin break free this time around? Can the Lions win the turnover battle again? These will be the focal points to begin Week 7.
Alouettes vs. Stampeders
After last week’s thrilling matchup between the Alouettes and Stampeders at Percival Molson Stadium, they’ll do it all again, but this time across the country at McMahon Stadium in Calgary for the back half of a home-and-home.
Watch the Alouettes take on the Stampeders LIVE at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT across the TSN Network, streaming on TSN.ca and the TSN App.
Last week, the Alouettes’ balanced offensive attack (including some trick plays) and strong defensive play towards the end of the game halted the Stampeders’ comeback attempt and sealed their win.
This also marks the fourth time that twins Tyson and Jalen Philpot will battle. It was Tyson getting the upper hand last week, which has been the case through their three previous matchups.
Montreal’s star target finished with nine catches for 132 yards and one touchdown last week, as he improved to 3-0 over his brother. It was another strong statline in what has been an unreal start to the season for Tyson, as his 45 catches is nine more than second place and his 719 yards is 240 more than second place.
Calgary has battled injuries in the secondary, which has been part of the reason they have a struggling pass defence. Even though Calgary is running the ball effectively with star back Dedrick Mills, and Vernon Adams Jr. has a phenomenal 14-0 touchdown to interception ratio on offence, the defence will have to find a way to stop Philpot, Tyler Snead, Davis Alexander and co.
Argonauts vs. Tiger-Cats
The second game on Saturday heads across the country for a battle of QEW rivals, as the Tiger-Cats play host to the Argonauts.
Watch the Argonauts battle the Tiger-Cats LIVE at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT across the TSN Network, streaming on TSN.ca and the TSN App.
Both teams come into this one 2-3 and riding two-game losing streaks, but this year it’s Hamilton dealing with a quarterback injury. While it was Chad Kelly missing all of last year with a broken leg, in 2026, it’s Bo Levi Mitchell who will miss significant time.
Hamilton has played virtually six quarters since their MOP-calibre pivot went down with a broken ankle, and it hasn’t been pretty. Backups Jake Dolegala and Tre Ford have combined to produce only 181 passing yards, zero touchdowns, two interceptions, and only seven points.
While Dolegala was named the starter for Week 6, Ford also saw action. Regardless of who’s slinging it in Week 7, there should be more optimism for success, as they will be going up against an Argonauts defence that allows the most passing yards per game (375.0) and second most net offence (434.4).
Hamilton is going to need to break through offensively against a potentially vulnerable defence, especially with how Kelly and the Argos are putting up points. Toronto sits first in passing yards per game and second in offensive points for, as Kelly has connected well with all of his targets through the air thus far.
Blue Bombers vs. Redblacks
The nation’s capital will be the location where Week 7 will wrap up, and there’s a potential major storyline brewing.
Watch the Blue Bombers take on the Redblacks LIVE at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT across the TSN Network, streaming on TSN.ca and the TSN App.
Former Redblacks pivot Dru Brown lost the starting job in Ottawa in training camp before being shipped back to where he began his CFL career in Winnipeg. Fast forward to last week where Brown stepped in for an injured Zach Collaros and performed well.
The 29-year-old completed 25-of-31 passes for 339 yards and one touchdown, leading Winnipeg to a win over Toronto. Now, it remains to be seen who will start for the Blue Bombers come Sunday, but there’s a chance Brown will have an opportunity to face the winless franchise who thought he wasn’t good enough.
Regardless of who’s throwing the ball for the Bombers, Ottawa needs a win with their backs against the wall, as they are the only team still in search of their first victory.
The Redblacks have struggled on both sides of the ball to begin the Ryan Dinwiddie era, sitting last in points for, net offence, and rushing yards per game offensively, while also sitting last in net offence allowed, rushing yards allowed, and second last in points allowed.
