OTTAWA — The Ottawa Redblacks released veteran Canadian tight end/fullback Marco Dubois on Monday.

Dubois, 31, of LaSalle, Que., spent seven seasons with Ottawa. Over 120 regular-season games, he had 22 catches for 331 yards and a TD while adding 33 special-teams tackles.

The Redblacks selected Dubois in the second round, No. 13 overall, in the 2018 CFL draft out of Laval.

“Marco was a true professional throughout his time here,” Shawn Burke, Ottawa’s vice-president of football operations. “His dedication to this club, his leadership and the effort he brought every single day set the bar for everyone around him.

“We thank Marco for everything he brought to our organization on and off the field over the past seven seasons.”
