Toronto Maple Leafs assistant general manager Brandon Pridham and the club have mutually agreed to part ways, it was announced Sunday afternoon.

The team said that assistant general manager, player personnel Derek Clancey will also be departing the organization.

Pridham had worked for the Leafs since 2014. He joined them from the league office and became known as one of the NHL’s leading salary cap experts, playing a major role in the Leafs’ salary cap strategy behind the scenes over the past 12 years.

“Brandon has played an integral role in the organization over the past 12 seasons,” said new general manager John Chayka in a news release.

“We are sincerely appreciative of Brandon’s professionalism, commitment and dedication to the Maple Leafs throughout his tenure. Derek also brought valuable experience and insight to our hockey operations department during his time with the club. We thank both Brandon and Derek for their contributions to the organization and wish them and their families all the very best moving forward.”

The moves continue a string of changes the Leafs have made this spring under Chayka and new senior executive advisor Mats Sundin. Earlier this week, head coach Craig Berube was fired after two seasons with the club.

The Leafs went 32-36-14 this past season, finishing 30 points below their total of 108 from 2024-25. Toronto also missed the postseason for the first time in nine years.
