The Carolina Hurricanes announced a two-year extension for Mark Jankowski on Monday.
The 31-year-old forward will earn $1.85 million per season on a deal that takes him through 2027-2028.

“Mark has been an excellent fit for our organization throughout his time here,” general manager Eric Tulsky said in a statement. “He’s proven he can contribute in different ways, and we are glad he’s chosen to remain with the organization.”
A native of Hamilton, Ont., Jankowski appeared in 68 games for the team this season, scoring 11 goals and adding 10 assists. In the team’s eight playoff games this spring, Jankowski has one assist.
Originally taken with the 21st overall selection of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft out of Stanstead College in Quebec, Jankowski is in his 10th NHL season and second with the Hurricanes. He’s appeared in 482 career games with the Canes, Nashville Predators, Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins and Calgary Flames. For his career, Jankowski has 79 goals and 66 assists.
