The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward Kole Lind to a profefssional tryout agreement, the team announced on Friday.
Lind, 27, played last season with the American Hockey League’s Texas Stars, recording 11 goals and 35 points in 70 games.
He last appeared in the NHL during the 2023-24 campaign, appearing in one game for the Seattle Kraken.
Drafted 33rd overall by the Vancouver Canucks in 2017, Lind has two goals and eight points in 31 games split between the Canucks and Kraken.
The 6-foot-2 winger played his major junior career with the Western Hockey League’s Kelowna Rockets and registered 39 goals and 95 points in 58 games during the 2017-18 campaign, his final season with the team.
Tampa Bay finished second in the Atlantic Division last season with a 50-26-9 record but fell to the Montreal Canadiens in seven games in the first round.
The Lightning are set to play four-preseason games beginning on Sept. 20 against the Nashville Predators before they open the regular season on Oct. 1 against the New York Rangers.
