The Toronto Maple Leafs are meeting with team legend and Hockey Hall of Famer Mats Sundin on Friday about a potential role in their new management structure.

The Maple Leafs are in search of a new management team after firing GM Brad Treliving late last month.

Sundin, 55, is the Maple Leafs’ franchise all-time leader in points (987). Over his NHL career with the Leafs, Quebec Nordiques and Vancouver Canucks, he tallied 1,349 points in 1,346 NHL games.

Sundin also won three gold medals with Sweden at the World Championships and was the team captain for Sweden’s gold medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.

Sundin was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012, and was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2013.

His No. 13 was retired by the Maple Leafs in 2016.
