The Buffalo Sabres have signed defenceman Matt Grzelcyk to a one-year, $850,000 contract on Friday.
Grzelyck, 32, spent the 2025-26 season with the Chicago Blackhawks, where he notched 12 assists in 69 regular-season games.
A third-round pick (85th overall) by Boston in 2012, he made his NHL debut on Dec. 14, 2016 against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Charlestown, Mass., native has skated in 596 career NHL games, scoring 26 goals with 187 points, split between the Bruins, Penguins and Blackhawks.
