Sens D Chabot sustains upper-body injury vs. Stars

Senators defenceman Thomas Chabot will miss tonight's game against the Rangers as he awaits an MRI for a leg injury he suffered against the Kraken on Saturday. "Yeah, it hurts, but what can you do," said Senators head coach D.J. Smith, who also said it is an opportunity for others to step-up and take advantage of the opportunit.

Ottawa Senators defenceman Thomas Chabot left Tuesday’s 3-2 overtime loss to the Dallas Stars with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Chabot left the game in the second period after taking a hit along the boards from Stars forward Colin Blackwell.

Chabot, 28, had 6:51 TOI before exiting.

He has two goals and 10 points in 17 games this season.
