Kali Flanagan is back in the Toronto Sceptres fold.
The team announced a new three-year deal for the 30-year-old defender on Thursday.
A native of Burlington, MA, Flanagan appeared in 30 games for the team last season, scoring two goals and adding five assists in over 20 minutes of ice time a night. Flanagan has appeared in every game for Toronto over her three seasons with the club. In 84 PWHL games, Flanagan has scored eight goals and chipped in 12 assists.
Internationally, Flanagan has represented the United States on two occasions. The Boston College product won gold medals at both the 2017 IIHF World Championship and the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
Flanagan’s re-signing is part of Phase 3 of the PWHL’s Expansion Player Distribution Process. Teams from Hamilton, Detroit, Las Vegas and San Jose will join the league for the 2026-2027 season, taking the PWHL to 12 teams.
