Crystal Dunn has blown the whistle on her career.
The longtime United States left-back announced her retirement at the age of 33.
Dunn spent 2025 with Paris Saint-Germain.
“I leave the game with a sense of peace and deep fulfillment for all that I’ve accomplished,” Dunn said in a statement. “I’m grateful for the incredible people I’ve had the privilege to work with, from teammates and coaches to family and friends, and all the amazing moments we’ve shared. I’m very much looking forward to my next chapter ahead.”
A native of Long Island, NY, Dunn made her professional debut in 2014 after being taken with the first overall pick of the 2014 National Women’s Soccer League College Draft out of North Carolina by the Washington Spirit. At the club level, Dunn normally was employed in an attacking role. After three seasons in the NWSL, Dunn jumped to the Women’s Super League with Chelsea in 2017. She returned to the NWSL in 2018 with the North Carolina Courage.
After winning two NWSL Shields and a pair of NWSL Championships with the Courage, Dunn was traded to the Portland Thorns in the fall of 2020 where she won another Shield in 2021 and another NWSL Championship in 2022. Dunn spent her final season in the NWSL with Gotham FC in 2024.
Internationally, Dunn made her senior debut in 2013 and went on to win both a World Cup in 2019 and an Olympic gold medal at Paris 2024.
