The Toronto Tempo have converted the contracts of guards Ornella Bankole and Zaay Green to regular player agreements pursuant to roster hardships, it was announced Friday.
They were each previously on developmental player contracts.
The move comes as the Tempo continue to be ravaged by injuries during their inaugural season, which is set to resume Friday night at home against the Indiana Fever following the league’s nearly three-week hiatus for the women’s FIBA World Cup.
Bankole joined the Tempo in late June after playing in Spain with Casademont Zaragoza. She’s appeared in 10 games this season for Toronto and is averaging 3.5 points and 2.0 rebounds a night.
Gray joined the Tempo last month after playing in Lithuania, Cyprus and Mexico already in 2026. She’s appeared in three games with the Tempo and is averaging 2.3 points per game.
Watch the Tempo take on Caitlin Clark and the Fever LIVE Friday night on TSN4, TSN.ca and the TSN App with coverage beginning at 7pm ET/4pm PT.
