The Chicago Bears are what bettors thought they were.

If you want to crown them the NFC’s best team, then crown them, but Chicago was the most popular pick to win the NFC North at FanDuel, and they’re playing like it.

The Bears are who we thought they were.

With five games remaining, it’s up to Micah Parsons and the Green Bay Packers not to let them off the hook.

FanDuel bettors were looking for the cash out button when the Ben Johnson era in Chicago began with a pair of losses to the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions.

Since then, the Bears have won nine of their last 10 to climb from the basement to the top of the NFC standings.

Chicago to make the playoffs has surged from as high as +680 to +145 at FanDuel since Week 3.

The Bears to win the NFC North has gone from +2700 to +145 since the start of their current five-game win streak.

Anybody who played Chicago over 7.5 regular season wins or 8.5 regular season wins has cashed those bets.

Now it’s decision time for anybody who helped make the Bears the most popular bet to win its division at FanDuel.

At 9-3, Chicago to win the NFC North is down to +145.

Green Bay is a half-game back at 8-3-1 but remains the favourite to win the division at -130 this morning.

The Packers are a 5.5-point favourite for the first of two head-to-head meetings with the Bears this Sunday.

If you bet Chicago to win the NFC North, are you hedging that bet or are you letting it ride?

Green Bay’s 40-40 tie with the Dallas Cowboys is the difference in the NFC North standings right now.

Speaking of the Cowboys, Jerry’s team flipped a switch with three straight wins, including back-to-back victories over the teams that played in the last Super Bowl.

At 6-5-1, Dallas remains on the outside looking in on a loaded NFC playoff race.

However, the Cowboys made a statement with a pair of stunning upset victories over the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs the last two weeks.

They also forced the FanDuel traders to make some significant adjustments in their NFL futures markets, including one of the biggest moves I’ve ever seen.

Let’s dive into the numbers and lock in a FanDuel Best Bet for Monday Night Football in this Morning Coffee for Monday December 1st, 2025.

Dak’s MVP Odds Surge as Cowboys Prep for Massive TNF Clash with Lions

The Cowboys to make the playoffs could be found as high as +1500 following a disappointing 3-5-1 start.

Since then, Dallas has won three in a row to improve to 6-5-1, including wins over Philly and KC.

Meanwhile, the Eagles have dropped back-to-back games against Dallas and Chicago to fall to 8-4.

The Cowboys are still the ninth seed in the NFC, but their odds to make the playoffs have dropped from +590 to +270 at FanDuel over the last three weeks.

Dallas to win the NFC East is down to +650.

The biggest move of all was Dak Prescott to win NFL regular season MVP.

Dak was 400-to-1 to win MVP entering Week 13.

That number crashed to 15-to-1 at FanDuel on Friday and stayed there for the weekend before ticking back up to 16-to-1 this morning.

Matthew Stafford remains the MVP favourite at +110 after an upset loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye remains the second choice at +125 and could leapfrog Stafford as the frontrunner with a win over Jaxson Dart and the visiting New York Giants on Monday Night Football.

Interestingly, Green Bay QB Jordan Love has emerged as the third choice to win MVP at +1500.

Love will have an opportunity to boost his MVP stock and put the Packers in the driver’s seat in the NFC North with a win over the Bears on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Dak and the Cowboys head to Detroit for a clash with the Lions on Thursday Night Football that has essentially become a must-win for both teams.

First up, it’s the final stop for Week 13 in the NFL tonight.

As somebody who took a flyer on Maye to win MVP at 60-to-1 odds, I’d love nothing better than to see the Patriots’ second-year QB put on a show in a prime time win over the Giants.

A FanDuel Best Bet for Monday Night Football

My FanDuel Best Bets for NFL Sunday Week 13 went 7-3 to bring this week’s record to 10-5.

The fact that number feels like a disappointment is probably a good thing for anybody who has tailed my plays in this column over the past three weeks.

Turning the page this morning, I’ll lock in DeMario Douglas over 14.5 receiving yards as a FanDuel Best Bet for Monday Night Football.

Douglas has registered 34 or more receiving yards in five straight games.

In New England’s Week 12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Douglas only had one catch for 37 yards on one target, which is one reason why his number for tonight’s game is as low as it is.

However, the Giants play one of the highest rates of man coverage in the NFL, and Douglas has produced the best yards per route run against man coverage of any Patriots wide receiver.

New York’s defence has allowed the fifth-most receiving yards to opposing wide receivers in the NFL this season.

They also rank in the bottom third of the league in receptions allowed and yards allowed per reception.

Additionally, I’ll lock in a builder Same Game Parlay with a Patriots outright win, Theo Johnson 20+ receiving yards, and Tyrone Tracy 2+ receptions at +108.

New England’s defence gives up the third-most receptions to opposing running backs and the sixth-most receptions to opposing tight ends.

Tracy has three or more receptions in three of his previous four games.

Johnson has 20 or more receiving yards in eight straight.

Tracy and Johnson should both be heavily involved in Dart’s return to the lineup tonight.

Have a great day, everyone!
