The New Jersey Devils signed recently acquired forward Luke Evangelista to a five-year, $36.25 million contract extension on Tuesday.
The contract features an average annual value of $7.25 million and will begin in the 2027-28 season.
Evangelista, who was acquired from the Nashville Predators for a conditional 2028 first-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick earlier this month, is entering the final season of a two-year, $6 million contract.
The 24-year-old Toronto native scored 12 goals and 44 assists for the Predators in 2025-26, his fourth season in Nashville.
Selected by Nashville in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft, Evangelista has produced 45 goals and 97 games over 253 career games in the NHL.
