Als add quarterback Carden to roster
The Montreal Alouettes added depth at the pivot position with the addition of quarterback Shane Carden. Carden played college football for the University of East Carolina, completing 1,052 of 1,579 passes for 11,991 yards and throwing 86 touchdown passes.

The Montreal Alouettes added depth at the pivot position with the addition of quarterback Shane Carden.
Carden played college football for the University of East Carolina, completing 1,052 of 1,579 passes for 11,991 yards and throwing 86 touchdown passes. The Newport Beach, CA native also gained 253 rushing yards, while registering 24 majors.
In 2014, he set team records by completing 392 of 617 pass attempts, good for 4,736 yards and 30 touchdowns against only 10 interceptions. At the end of the season, he was named the American Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Year. The previous season, he was named as the Conference USA's Most Valuable Player.
At the conclusion of his college career, the 24-year-old joined the Chicago Bears as a free agent. He recently completed a season with the Stuttgart Scorpions in the German league.
