The Montreal Alouettes sent veteran quarterback Kevin Glenn to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for a 2017 fourth-round pick Sunday night.

The Bombers traded quarterback Drew Willy to the Toronto Argonauts for defensive back TJ Heath and a pair of draft picks on Sunday night as well.

"The opportunity to acquire a first round pick next year along with a player we have really liked this season in TJ Heath, and an experienced quarterback in Kevin Glenn was something we needed to strongly evaluate,” said General Manager Kyle Walters. “Ultimately, for a variety of factors, we felt this was the right move for our football team, both short and long term. We sincerely thank Drew Willy for his hard work, professionalism and dedication to our program over the past two plus seasons."

Glenn, 37, has thrown for 2547 yards with 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions over nine games this season with the Als (3-8), who find themselves in last place in the East Division.

The 16-year veteran spent five years with the Blue Bombers earlier in his career from 2004 to 2008.

Winnipeg is 7-4 and sits third in the East.
