The Toronto Argonauts are bracing for bad news when it comes to the status of wide receiver Andre Durie.

Argonauts head coach Scott Milanovich told TSN's Mike Hogan on Monday that Durie will have an MRI on his injured knee, but added all signs point to the injury being a "fairly serious injury."

Milanovich described fellow wide receiver Chad Owens "as just about in tears for his friend" on TSN Radio 1050. Durie suffered the injury in Sunday's overtime thriller against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The Argonauts won the game 42-40.

The 33-year-old had one rush for two yards and no catches before exiting. He was later seen on crutches.

Durie caught seven passes for 63 yards in the Argonauts season opener.

He has been with the team since entering the CFL in 2007.

In other Argonauts injury news, Milanovich also added defensive back Jermaine Gabriel will miss a month with a groin injury, while offensive lineman Jeff Keeping will return in Week 3 after being sidelined with a back injury.

Quarterback Ricky Ray remains a month away for the Argonauts, who have started the season 2-0.
