LAKE FOREST, Ill. — Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is doubtful and top receiver Alshon Jeffery is questionable for Sunday's game at Dallas because of injuries.

Cutler left Monday's loss to Philadelphia because of a sprained right thumb. Brian Hoyer has been working with the first team and is expected to start. Jeffery says he developed knee soreness against the Eagles.

The injuries mean the Bears (0-2) could be without two of their most important offensive players when they face the Cowboys. They are also banged up on defence, with linebacker Lamarr Houston tearing the ACL in his left knee against Philadelphia and linebacker Danny Trevathan suffering a thumb injury that required surgery.
