The Canadian Football League makeover continues with the unveiling of the 2016 apparel collection by adidas on Thursday, which consists of team jerseys, sideline apparel and an Originals clothing line.

The league and its newest partner showcased the new digs across a myriad of online platforms and will host a private event for fans in Montreal to get a first look this afternoon, as well as a launch party in downtown Montreal this evening.

“Today, we celebrate our newest partner, the globally recognized and truly iconic adidas brand,” CFL Commissioner Jeffrey L. Orridge said in a release. “Today is also about our game: exciting our fans, attracting new supporters of Canadian football and showcasing our League’s biggest stars."

“adidas stands committed to designing and developing high-performance products and we look forward to outfitting CFL athletes in our newest and most innovative uniforms – with every jersey incorporating important input from each participating team and their iconic national emblems,” said Stewart Smith, VP adidas Brand. “The most talented football players require the best innovation in uniforms, so it was imperative that the design not only feature the best in performance wear but also creatively showcase modern interpretations of our nation's rich history.”

The league also launched a new CFLShop.ca, which will contribute proceeds from today’s sales to the Red Cross for the crisis in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
