The Canadian Football League Players’ Association is looking to hire an executive director.

According to TSN senior correspondent Gary Lawless, Dan Quinn is the top candidate for the position. Quinn was the former managing director of NFL Canada, where he was responsible for marketing and sales.

Quinn was recruited by the NFL in 2000 to be responsible for all marketing and sales in Canada. He was later promoted to Managing Director of NFL Canada, where he oversees all business aspects of the NFL in Canada including league broadcast and new media rights, marketing, sponsorship, consumer products, and football development.

Quinn also worked for a year as the Toronto Argonauts' vice-president of marketing and sales. Prior to joining the football world, he worked as Director of Corporate Partnership Services at MLSE, where he was responsible for the development and delivery of sponsorship programs for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, and Air Canada Centre.
