Immortals are investing at least three years into jungler Joshua “Dardoch” Hartnett.

The organization announced a three-year deal with the former Team Liquid star on Wednesday, the team’s second long-term contract of the week. Immortals signed mid laner Eugene “Pobelter” Park to a two-year deal on Tuesday.

“Three year contracts in esports aren’t common, but in Dardoch we see a special kind of player," Immortals CEO Noah Whinston said in a press release.

"There are obvious areas of improvement for him, but Josh has the potential to be a generational North American talent. Few players have a better work ethic, more passion for the game, or a greater desire to win. With the support of the Immortals staff and organization, we look forward to helping Dardoch reach new heights.”

The 18-year-old hit a few bumps with Liquid off the rift and was temporarily suspended for behavioural issues, but says he is ready to move on with the new organization.

“The reasoning behind choosing Immortals as the team I want to play for in the foreseeable future, since I signed multi-year, is because from the get-go I knew that the structure in place would leave me in a good spot regardless of roster,” Dardoch said in a release.

After dominating the regular seasons of the 2016 North American League Championship Series spring and summer splits, Immortals finished third in consecutive playoffs and failed to qualify for the World Championship.
